January 8 - More adventures with Kaleena and Tiff!

Jess, Tiff and I finally wake up around lunch time. It is decided that we're going to have hot dogs on the grill, ala Jessica. She actually starts the grill without catching on fire (a first!). We have a delicious lunch, served with doritos and moscatto.

After lunch, we watch part of There's Something About Mary and make plans for the evening. Cynthia is at Carmen's house, so we decide we're going to head up to Pompano. Tiff goes home to get ready, Kaleena is told that she WILL come with us, and Jess and I start the beautification process. We started out to leave at 7:30, but didn't leave Miami until 9:30; you know we run on Cuban time.

We finally make it to Carmen's around 10. That is obviously the cue for the drinks to be poured and the music to start playing. Tiffy breaks it down (and was a zebra humping Jess), Kaleena and I make our way through a few strong drinks, Carmen forces Ashley to dance and we all have a great time. I really enjoy hanging out with Carmen, Cynthia, Brian and Ashley.

Sometime around 2, Tiff, Ashley and I passed out on the couch. We continued the night with lots of random conversation about roosters, music, and all kinds of crap. After losing track of time, we finally decide its far too late to still be up and we head home. At 6:00 in the morning. Brian invited us to hard rock next weekend to go dancing with him and some friends. I really enjoy his company, so I think we may go. Jess jokes that there's going to be a fight between Kaleena, Tiff and I over him. It's not that serious.

On the way home, Jess had to pull over in Miramar and rest for a little bit cause she was out of it. We saw a rooster in the gas station parking lot. No lie, a fucking rooster. After our long talk about the roosters at Carmen's. The universe was messing with us, I'm convinced.

Jess was finally stable enough to drive us home. I wound up taking Tiff and Kaleena home and let Jess get some sleep. On the way to Tiff's, she asks me, with a serious face, "Staci, where do you live?" Right after we left MY house. It was too funny.

I finally got home around 7:30. I called my parents and they were just getting up for church. I love late nights and long weekends with these girls.
